Our final home game of the season saw us up against the team we will probably play in the first week of finals. The Cavaliers have been a tough team this year and were probably the most imressive half way through the season...

However we have had some really good home form this year and have hit a rich vein of form leading into the finals. We are also starting to wlecome back players from injury rather than the other clubs who seem to be losing a shit load.

first half was pretty tame with the cavs defence looking hesitant and slow. Ginsy and Junior worked this out pretty quick and were pouncing on all their loose balls, with one instance seeing Ryan nip in and put the mighty sky blues up 1-0

a crappy goal from the cavs off a corner was a fair result of the pressure they had us under for 15 mins...a nasty boble bounced the ball over the outstretch hand of Nick Z and into the goal. Unfortunately this goal saw the end of Nick's night with a back injury.

HT (1-1)

second half saw some strange reffing decisions but this didnt phase the lads and we went up 2-1 when ginsy broke down the line, smashed a shot into the keepers face (knocking him out in the process) and Junior slotting home the loose ball...

The rest of the game was pretty evenly matched and the last 15 saw us empty the bench and give some serious game time for our ressies and they held their own and Ray Wrobel was unlucky to have his Timmy Cahill-esque header ruled offside.

shout out to Rich Hill who has been sensational since his return from work committments, Dan Blake who is week by week trying to become Ronan, Nathan K and the clean sheet from Dave 'this is my house' Shaw

bring on UQ this week (maybe)
