Re: ROUND 8 vs UQ
Boys,
I was really pleased with our performance and I think the new formation will work well.
For those who don't know yet, we got up 4-1 (Abbey 2, Matchett and Hill).
Well deserved win although it took some time to hit our stride.
One thing which we need to practice is KEEPING THE BALL ON THE GROUND. We are a much better side when we play it around on the ground.
Overall, a very mature performance.

Re: ROUND 8 vs UQ
I thought it was the best team orientated, mature performance yet. I can see that formation dominating the league once we nail it down, it really did feel like football this time, not kick and chase.

Re: ROUND 8 vs UQ
Usually with this formation - people see it as defensive. With the mighty Springfield boys, it gives our pacey three prong attack a chance to hit the holes in the defence at pace. Reuben and Dan were magnificent as target players and we'll only get better. Four goals suggests that it wasn't very defensive...
Well in again lads.

Re: ROUND 8 vs UQ
it could have and should have been more. I think we hit the crossbar about 5 times and i missed two headers from 1 yards out (should keep my eyes open!)
I think the formation provides a great cover for our already solid backline and gives the options to break out and break quickly.
Bring on any chumps that dare cross our path!
By my calcuations we really only need 6 or 7 points to lock in an early finals spot. That starts this week at home when we need to put the QLD Buffers to the sword!
